When will Amazon come to Denmark? This is possibly one of the questions I have been asked over a million times here on the blog, especially after I wrote the post about marketing on Amazon.<\/a><\/p>\n

Jokes aside.<\/p>\n

The short answer is<\/strong>: I don\u2019t know, and frankly, probably no one else does\u2014not even Amazon.<\/p>\n

My guess is that they constantly face big differences between the various countries in Europe, which makes scaling more difficult than it has been for them in the US.<\/p>\n

Currency, language, e-commerce behavior\u2014there are many variables that they have probably only recently gotten fully in order. It must be a logistical nightmare across so many borders.<\/p>\n

However, we know that Amazon is opening in Sweden. They have announced this themselves,<\/a> and in their job postings for the Swedish market, it\u2019s clear they are also looking for people to help expand into the Danish market.<\/p>\n
